Equity & transparency
Our work is underpinned by a commitment to fair processes and open communications
As FCIF has designed and planned our implementation of the industry funding model, equity and transparency have been our touchstone. Our commitment to equity is reflected in our Grants Strategy in the form of our first funding principle:
FAIR PROCESSES
• Equity of access to grant opportunities
• Transparency about decision-making criteria and processes
• Robust probity measures, including managing conflicts of interest
• Using data to help inform the allocation of industry funding
This is backed by our probity policy which outlines our principles:
- Transparency: Ensuring open and clear decision-making processes.
- Accountability: Holding individuals responsible for their actions and decisions.
- Fairness: Treating all applicants equitably based on established criteria & without bias.
- Integrity: Conducting grant processes with honesty and ethical behaviour.
- Confidentiality: Protecting sensitive and personal information.
TRANSPARENCY
Our approach is brought to life during our grants process through:
- Publishing detailed Grant Guidelines in advance of every round that outline eligibility, available grant amounts and how decisions will be made
- Open access webinars where we outline the grants process and take any questions
- All information being shared equally with all potential applicants via our FAQs and webinar recordings
- Detailed feedback following each round
- Full information about the decisions made and outcomes of each grant
As a fledgling start-up organisation, we won't get everything right first time, so we'd love your feedback on how we're doing.
